The Checkerberry Inn has been rated one of the ten best inns nationwide by the Inn Review, and has been featured in many national travel magazines. Located just east of Goshen, in northern Indiana, the Inn is situated on a 100-acre private estate off a sparsely traveled road in the serenity and seclusion of the Indiana Amish countryside. Here you can observe the simplicity of Amish culture, where horses and buggies are a way of life. The Inn offers fourteen beautiful guest rooms, all with private baths and individual decor, and features an outdoor swimming pool, croquet court and tennis court. There are excellent walking trails through our private woods, and the country roads are great for walking, running, and cycling. There is an outdoor swimming pool, croquet and tennis courts, a large front porch, a spacious library with an oversized stone fireplace and beautiful gardens on the property. A continental - plus breakfast is included with your stay. It consists of juices, coffee and tea, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and homemade granola and pastries. Breakfast is offered in the dining room daily. All rooms are quite spacious, and have a charming, individual decor. Standard rooms have either one king-sized bed or two queens. All rooms have a cozy chaise lounge, desk, coffee maker, and blow-dryer. Additionally, all rooms have a private bath stocked with complimentary Crabtree & Evelyn bath products, and feature either a shower or a shower/bathtub. A high speed Ethernet connection is available in most guest rooms. Rooms facing the back of the Inn have a view of the gardens and the pool. Turn right onto Lincoln Way West, then merge onto US-20 East toward Mishawaka/Plymouth and continue for 38.2 miles. Turn right onto IN-13/South Main Street and continue to follow IN-13. Turn right onto IN-4/Philip T Warner Highway. Turn left onto CR-37 and continue until you reach the property.
